After listening to Ottie's story, why did Wolfoo come to the Dragon Cave?

Episode 4:

Following Ottie’s stories, Wolfoo reaches out to the fearful Dragon Cave which is told in the fables. 

Surprisingly, instead of confronting dangerous creatures, Wolfoo is playing mind games with a tiny but extremely cunning dragon- named Dragoo to achieve his second piece of gem.
